AMCAP sponsor Auto Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award

AMCAP’s support of the South West Metropolitan TAFE continues with sponsorship of their Auto Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award. The 2016 award was presented to David Walker. David is the leading Stage 1 apprentice in his second year of training and works for Truck Centre WA Pty Ltd.

In collaboration with South Metropolitan TAFE’s Bentley Hospitality Institute, the awards ceremony was held on September 19 at the Bentley Pines Restaurant where nominees, employers, sponsors, the College’s executive and staff enjoyed a three-course fine dining experience provided by students under the guidance of their lecturers.

Geoff Bailey, Executive General Manager said, “AMCAP is proud to support local industry and in particular auto electrical apprentices. We applaud the efforts of all students for their commitment to developing their skills in an effort to launch a career in the auto electrical industry.”

Geoff presented David with a Kromex 151 Apprentice Toolkit to help kick-start his career.  David said, “I’m grateful for AMCAP’s sponsorship and support of these awards and in particular, for such an appropriate prize that will definitely be very useful in my career.”
