AMCAP Maintenance Kits with a Purpose

AMCAP supplies customisable maintenance kits to industrial businesses throughout Western Australia. A portion of the sale of every maintenance kit is donated to organisations making a difference in the community.

Not only do AMCAP’s unique kitting services help businesses reduce their admin headaches, wait times and costs, they also distribute funds to important organisations making a difference for people in our community. To date, we have donated to three organisations we care about with other groups lined up to receive funding from AMCAP throughout the financial year. The containerised maintenance kits are also painted with the colours, logos and slogans of the causes, helping to spread awareness of the organisations’ missions when they are on-site.

AMCAP is a corporate partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, who provide funding for life-saving breast cancer research in Australia. Every day, 55 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer – a statistic the NBCF plans to reduce to zero by 2030. In the last financial year, we were ecstatic to present NBCF with a donation of $15,125 with proceeds from the purchases made by our loyal customers. This amount truly exceeded our expectations – and we are expecting our donation to be even greater this financial year.

Another organisation we proudly support is the Wirrpanda Foundation. Founded by former West Coast Eagles player David Wirrpanda, this foundation aims to lead the provision of education, employment and business opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, collaborating with and empowering individuals, families and communities. We have distributed containerised maintenance kits with the Wirrpanda colours and logos to help spread awareness, as well as donating a portion of the profits from the purchase of these kits.

The Blue Tree Project is another one of our chosen organisations – a project most people around Western Australia will recognise from the painted blue trees appearing throughout the region. The Blue Tree Project works to raise awareness around mental wellbeing and suicide prevention. One of our long term customers – BHP – also supports the project and has installed a welded blue tree sculpture at their Whaleback Mine Newman site to shed light on mental health in the mining industry. We supported their efforts with a special Blue Tree Project containerised maintenance kit for their critical spare parts and components store.

We’re excited about spreading awareness for these causes with our colourful maintenance kits and are pleased the funds raised can make a real difference in our community. Throughout 2020, we’ve seen the difference we can make by banding together in adversity – let’s continue with that mindset into the future. We’ll keep adding organisations to support to our list – get in touch if you want us to give to a cause close to your heart.
